Marrakech, een stad met bruine gebouwen en waar het lijkt of je in een sprookje zit. Marrakech heeft een groot geschiedenis en wordt veel bezocht door toeristen. Ook ik ben er geweest en vandaag vertel ik je mijn ervaringen.
Marrakech, is a city with brown buildings and looks like if you are in a story. Marrakech has a big history and a lot of tourist visited this magical city. Today I'm going to tell you my experience, because I went there too.
The city is located at the west of Morocco and nearly by the High Atlas Mountains. Marrakech is the capital city of the region Marrakech. This magical city belongs also too the four kings cities, as Fes, Rabat and Meknes. The name Marrakech means 'Land of God' in Berber language.
De welbekende plein is Djemaa el Fna, waar veel gebeurt. Overdag is het vrij rustig, zodra het donker wordt dan stromen veel mensen er naartoe. Want er staan kraampjes en restaurantjes, waar je kunt eten. Toen ik daar was, dronk ik versgeperst sinaasappelsap. Oh wat was dat heerlijk!
There is a well-know square called Djemaa el Fna. It is always busy in the evening. A lot of people comes to the square. At the Djemaa el Fna stand little shops and restaurants, where you can eat. When I was there, I drinked a fresh orange juice. O that taste very nice!
Ben Youssef Medrasa is een oud koranschool. Het gebouw is in 1550 gebouwd. De studenten woonde daar en er waren 900 studenten. Ik vind de binnenplaats echt mooi, de tegels, hout. Overdag was het warm, maar in de binnenplaats was het koel.
Ben Youssef Medrassa is an old koran school. The building is build in 1550. In the school lives the students and there were 900 students. I like the patio. It is beautiful, very Moroccan style. The building has Moroccan tiles. Outside was hot, but at the patio was very cool. I did not want to go, hihi.
Marrakech kent ook een moderne gedeelte, waar je bijvoorbeeld leuk kunt winkelen. Er zijn bekende winkels gevestigd, zoals Zara. Ik heb daar ook rond gereden. Het is leuke buurt, er zijn moderne cafeetjes en restaurants.
Marrakech has also a modern area, where you could go shopping. There are familiar shops located, as Zara. I went there too. It is a nice neighborhood, there are modern cafe's and restaurants.
